The concept of killer kids are few things new, but The Children can safely join the list of great horror movies like The Omen, Home Movie, The Exorcist, The Innocents and Village from the Damned. The film is directed by Tom Shankland who also adapted the script form a narrative by Paul Andrew Williams the director and writer of London to Brighton and The Cottage. Shankland delivers a simple film, which has a simple set up as well as a simple settle. What’s not simple are his sublime directorial flourishes. Shankland might give a few jump scares, but avoids genre clichés and wisely chooses a highly effective slow burn. The journey is unnerving, relentless, full of suspense with a terrifying and brutal atmosphere. Easily one from the best horror films of the decade and determined to be a Brit Classic. The story shocked me more than usual because I know my good friend is a nice good martial artist. He is often dubbed as 'talented' by his colleagues and superiors. What's wrong your story? In theory, he might have wasted the thief right away while he clearly had no weapon with him. According to him, he didn't know what to do. He knew how he could subdue such assault but he just couldn't know how to proceed at that moment.
